1 the application for the reader’s card: citizens can apply for the reader’s card in the “self-service library” with valid second generation id cards.

2 self-service lending: readers with the “all-purpose” card valid for borrowing books can borrow books from the self-service library. 400 books can be borrowed in one machine with full capacity.

3 self-service returning: readers can return books borrowed from the self-service library, the capital library of china (excluding children’s book) and with the “all-purpose” card. 800 books can be returned in one machine with full capacity.

4 opac search service: the “all-purpose” card interconnected library information and stock condition can be searched in the search machines.

5 database search: readers can visit the website of beijing public library computer information services network () to search and use database resources.

6 electronic book lending: readers can visit the website of beijing public library computer information services network () for the use of database resources to borrow, read and download the electronic books in the database. 10 books can be borrowed and downloaded.
